About Z2F
When the local comedy scene started growing faster than the city seemed ready for, we knew we had to get creative. People kept saying we’d “hit the ground running” — that our growth was like going “zero to sixty in three seconds.” That’s where Zero 2 Funny comes from: tenacious hard work and a love for what we do. We believe that when you know what you want and how to make it happen, the only thing left is to go do it. My old coach used to say, “If you’re going to do something right, do it with full effort at full speed.” He was talking about blitzing the quarterback — but we like to think it applies to comedy, too.
Because around here, we take the work seriously — but we have a hell of a lot of fun doing it.

Where it started…
In the fall of 2024, Collin Ruegg launched Lexington Comedy Hub in his then home town Lexington, Kentucky — and it took off fast. The local comedy scene saw a surge like never before, and local comedians an audiences were hungry for more open mics, showcases, and stage time. Riding that momentum, Collin brought in his podcast partners to help create Wildcat Comedy Co., dedicated to bringing consistent, high-quality comedy to the city. By Fall 2025, Wildcat Comedy had created a brand that was now a staple of the local comedy scene. They have partnered with national names like Don’t Tell Comedy and Encore Comedy, hosted over 65 open mics and 36 showcases, and worked with comedians from 21 different states — including Geoff Tate, Mandee McKelvey, Zac Amico, Ben Roy, Jerrell Beamon, Andrew Ruddick, and Leyla Ingalls. Wildcat Comedy Co. continues to thrive today, spreading jokes and good will, while helping continue the success of live comedy in Lexington.

Who is Collin Ruegg?
Collin Ruegg is an unpredictable blend of self-awareness, sarcasm, and pure chaos — in the best way possible. Behind the mic, he serves up a comedic buffet full of white privilege, social commentary, and a generous helping of self-deprecation. His unorthodox comparisons and offbeat logic dive into real-world issues with a perspective that probably would’ve landed him in a 1950s psych ward. In the fall of 2024, Collin founded Lex Comedy Hub, which quickly evolved into Wildcat Comedy Co., a Lexington-based entertainment group dedicated to spotlighting and growing Kentucky’s stand-up scene. In under a year, he turned it into one of the strongest independent comedy brands in the region — producing packed shows and open mics all over the state. Collin has shared the stage with nationally touring comedians like Geoff Tate, Larry Starks, Davey Wester, and Zac Amico and was a semifinalist in the 2025 Funniest Person in Cincinnati Contest. Along with operating Wildcat Comedy, Collin co-produced Don’t Tell Comedy & Encore Comedy (Washington DC) shows with nationally touring headliners. Now focused on building his next chapter in a new city, Collin continues chasing comedy, chaos, and (for now) his childhood dream of living in his parents’ basement.
